    Norm H. and some of us other pilot types are trying to decide if it really happened or was doctored video. It is possible to fly a high powered aircraft on a “kife-edge” – the fuselage itself (plus the vertical thrust component) generates the requisite lift. Rudder acts as the elevator and visa versa. The trick is rolling it upright using the good aileron at just the right time along with a push fwd on the stick to generate enough of a rolling moment to roll it onto the gear. The question is whether he would have any aileron control at all or would the control runs have been torn up when the other wing came off. The only other thing he could have done to enhance the performance would be to have taxiied it to his parking spot.
    Also, saw nothing on any news outlets about this.

  2. From what I’ve seen, I believe this happened in Europe, which would account for the lack of coverage. If the video was doctored, though, how exactly could that have been done?
