My understanding is that this ad, congratulating Barack Obama on his victory and noting the poetic nature of his accepting his party’s nomination on the 45th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech, is set to run tonight during the Democratic convention.
That actually is…almost unprecedented?
Best-case scenario – this is the kind of person McCain really is, and the kind of race he will run for our sake.
Worst-case scenario – we’ll have McCain’s grandpa smile while Obama gets Switfboated by McCain-supporting third party groups.
Only time will tell, but for now, yes, class points to McCain without a doubt.
To some extent, what other groups do by way of advertising is out of McCain’s control. He has, however, tried quite hard to control such groups when they want to do things he doesn’t believe are appropriate–his suppression of ads going after Obama for his ties to the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright, for instance.
Rob, it seems official now buddy, we did it……
Thank God, free at last……
She is the One we have been waiting for.
Yeah. Yeah, we did. Truly wonderful.
