In the latest bit of bad news from around the world, Russia has invaded Georgia, a democratic ally of ours in the Caucasus Mountains that has been hoping to join NATO. Apparently, this is how Vladimir Putin hopes to keep that from happening. Here’s hoping we stand up to Russia for their sake. Here’s wishing we’d done that years ago.
