  1. This is a great nugget of truth. Death is sobering… a wake up call to face the fact that God has put eternity in the hearts of men.

Are you posting this because of a real life situation Rob?

  2. Not this time, actually; we’re dealing with a couple serious situations in the church, but very different ones. (We did have a memorial service celebrated recently, and probably have at least one in the near future, but in both cases, people of deep, strong faith who have long known the truth of this.) No, just general musing, which I decided to post. Thanks for the good words. 🙂

  3. There was a horrible car accident here in Surrey this Month. An elderly East Indian couple were killed because two cars were high speed racing. There son and his family are good friend of ours. It has been sad to see them go through the pain of this loss. I have been wondering though, how it will impact them spiritually and what role I can play. Their religion, which is Sikh, requires many rituals and long prayers during this time. I think it is draining on those closest to it and gives them little comfort but they do it out of a sense of obligation.

As far as your situation goes Rob – I pray that the Lord will fortify you with wisdom, courage and grace. And remember – when you are weak He is strong!

  4. Thanks again for your concern and your prayers; I’ll be praying for you as well. It sounds like they haven’t gotten the street racing problem under control up there–that story sounds way too familiar.
